Hall hire
Hire Stocksmoor Village Hall
Perfect for any occasion or group event — available for a one-off party, meeting or celebration, or on a regular basis for a club or class.
How hire works
Book by the hour, the half day, the day or the evening
The hall is available during the week and at weekends, morning, afternoon or evening. You can take it for a single event or set up a regular weekly or monthly slot.
Rates are very competitive — the hall is a charity, not a commercial venue, and the trustees keep hire charges at a level the village can actually use. Because the price depends on how long you need and whether you are a regular, the bookings manager will quote for your event when you enquire.
A local key holder will get you a key to open up, and will arrange with you how it comes back afterwards.

Christenings, baby showers, children's parties, family celebrations
Parties & celebrations
Whether it's your child's birthday, a special anniversary or a big family get-together, the hall gives you the room to do it properly.
There is a large dance floor and a music system you are welcome to use, and all seating and tables are included in the hire charge.
The hall is available every day throughout the Christmas and New Year period, and has hosted plenty of Christmas Day family lunches.
Coffee mornings, fundraising events, social get-togethers
Community & social events
A friendly, informal space for anything the community is putting on — and a kitchen that makes catering for a crowd straightforward.
The hall has hosted many community and fundraising events over the years, including the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee in 2022 and the King’s Coronation in 2023.
More recently, a coffee morning in September 2025 raised a fabulous £474.60 in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support.
Clubs, groups, exhibitions, meetings, workshops, stage productions
Groups, clubs & classes
A great venue for clubs and groups to meet, formally or informally, weekly or once a month.
A community choir, a pilates class, a folk dancing group, the Women’s Institute, a bridge club, a yoga class and a folk club all use the hall regularly.
The stage can be assembled for music events and stage productions. The Huddersfield & District Model Aircraft Club recently held their AGM here for the first time.
